One love a day

I had a chance to be part of hosting a party for less-privileged kids on the One Love a Day event held at St. Paul of the Cross Parish, Marikina.

One Love a Day is an initiative of the Robinsons Retail Group to allot a special day of giving to our brothers & sisters in need. Each business unit of the retail group can choose its beneficiary and naturally, we went for kids since making them happy is what we do best at Toys “R” Us! πŸ˜‰

Add balloons and any place is made more colorful
Staple food on any children’s party: hotdog on stick
This is starting to look like a paid Coca-Cola advertisement
Posing with Ate Jill
Mother Aimee with her kids from another womb
Games, of course
Face paint starter kit
Go ma’m! (pa next) πŸ™‚
Halo cuties!
A happy kid with his bubble sword
Groufie with the kids
Puppet show where the puppet is from the audience
Aren’t we enjoying ourselves? πŸ˜€
Hands all raised when the man asked “who wants to get in the bubble?”

I wish companies will do things like this every now and then. Yes, this might be a mere obligatory PR stint for the big players and yet if you do this even once, when you see how a few hours have made these people so genuinely happy, your heart becomes full and contented.

If we are not for others, why is it that we feel more complete when we give?
